Athletics General Information


Beginning summer of 2024, the Medford School District will begin utilizing “InTouch” software for our student athletic registrations instead of Aktivate (formerly, Register My Athlete).
This new system is designed to work directly with “Synergy”, our MSD Student Information System. It will allow you to sign your student up for multiple sports, pay fees electronically (which are due by the first scheduled contest) and complete and submit all athletic paperwork and required signatures.  As with any transition, please know that there will be a learning curve for families and staff and sometimes we experience minor issues when implementing a new program.                              At McLoughlin, we are committed to setting students up for success.  Our student athletes are held to high standards including, academics, attendance, and behavior.  We are asking students to represent themselves, their families and their school in a respectable manner.  

The McLoughlin Athletic Program is committed to:  

  • Fostering strong relationships that build strong team members and teammates.     
  • Prioritizing foundational skill building.
  • Facilitating fun activities in a safe space for student-athletes.

Driving Directions

Athletic Registration will start the 2nd week of August 2024 for all sports offered during the 2024/25 school year.  

McLoughlin offers the following sports throughout the school year:

Fall- Football (7th & 8th) / Volleyball (7th & 8th) / Cross Country (6th-8th)
Winter - Boys Basketball (7th & 8th, before Winter Break) Girls Basketball (after Winter Break, 7th & 8th) & Wrestling (after Winter Break, 6th-8th)
Spring - Track & Field (6th-8th)


Participation Fee Information:

The 2024 Football fee  is $75.00 (includes helmet rental and pads)/ all other sports are $50.00 - Once an athlete has paid for participation in two sports during one school year, any additional sports played are free.

Participation Fee Refund Policy:  If a student is cut from a team, the fee will be refunded. If he/she quits the team or becomes ineligible to participate, the participation fee will not be refunded. If a student is injured and can no longer participate because of the injury, the family may appeal to the Athletic Director for a partial or full refund.

Uniform Fee Information:

McLoughlin supplies free uniforms for all sports.  Appropriate shoes are required and not included.  Shoe style differs by sport.

A $60.00 lost/damaged fee will be applied to student accounts should equipment not be returned or need to be replaced due to damages.  A $60.00 will be charged for all lost Athletic sweatshirts/hoodies checked out to athletes.
