Athletics General Information

       

All student-athletes must be registered through InTouch, which is now used across the entire Medford School District for athletic registration.

This system allows families to:

  • Sign students up for multiple sports
  • Pay athletic fees electronically (fees are due by the first scheduled contest)
  • Complete and submit all required athletic paperwork and signatures online

At McLoughlin, we are committed to setting students up for success.  Our student athletes are held to high standards, including academics, attendance, and behavior.  We are asking students to represent themselves, their families, and their school in a respectable manner.  

The McLoughlin Athletic Program is committed to:  

  • Fostering strong relationships that build strong team members and teammates.     
  • Prioritizing foundational skill building.
  • Facilitating fun activities in a safe space for student-athletes.
  • Teaching student-athletes about the spirit of healthy competition.

Driving Directions

Athletic Registration will start the 2nd week of August for all sports offered during that school year.

McLoughlin offers the following sports throughout the school year:

Fall Sports

  • Football (7th & 8th)

  • Volleyball (7th & 8th)

  • Cross Country (6th–8th)

Winter Sports

  • Boys’ Basketball (7th & 8th, before Winter Break)

  • Girls’ Wrestling (6th–8th, before Winter Break)

  • Girls’ Basketball (6th-8th, after Winter Break) 

  • Wrestling (6th–8th, after Winter Break)

Spring Sports

  • Track & Field (6th–8th)

Participation Fee Information:

The Football fee is $75.00 (includes helmet rental and pads)/ all other sports are $50.00. Once an athlete has paid for participation in two sports during one school year, any additional sports played are free.

Participation Fee Refund Policy:  If a student is cut from a team, the fee will be refunded. If he/she quits the team or becomes ineligible to participate, the participation fee will not be refunded. If a student is injured and can no longer participate because of the injury, the family may appeal to the Athletic Director for a partial or full refund.

Uniform Fee Information:

McLoughlin supplies free uniforms for all sports.  Appropriate shoes are required and not included.  Shoe style differs by sport.

A $60.00 lost/damaged fee will be applied to student accounts should the equipment not be returned or need to be replaced due to damage.  A $60.00 will be charged for all lost Athletic sweatshirts/hoodies checked out to athletes.
