Notifying Families of Unexcused Absences

The Oregon Legislature passed House Bill 3197, requiring all school boards across the state to adopt a new attendance notification policy for their districts. To comply, all schools are required to notify parents/guardians (or the person designated by the parent or guardian) before the end of the school day if their child has an unexcused absence. The following reporting timeline is to be followed by all MSD Schools.

If your student is absent for one or more periods a day, you will receive an auto call from Medford School District. Auto calls go out daily at 11:15 a.m. and 5:15 p.m.
